About Quilting Possibilities

Quilting Possibilities started in 1994 with Debbie vending at local quilt shows & teaching classes in her kitchen.  Jim eventually tired of fabric in the basement & students in the kitchen so in 1995 he found a small store for rent.  This all came about because Debbie couldn't find yellow fabric locally to put in her quilts! That lead to a whole new career for both Debbie & Jim. Since then, they've moved the store twice & are now hopefully where they are going to stay - since the staff threatened to retire if they had to move again! At 5800 square feet, QP is the largest quilt shop in NJ & we are constantly amazed that we often wish we had more room to put up "one more display"!

A great staff - retirement threats notwithstanding! - make the store a cozy, welcoming place to all levels of quilters. We strive to find the newest, neatest & greatest quilting tools & supplies to bring to our customers. QP opened with Elna sewing machines, took on Bernina a year later, Baby Lock in 2005, HandiQuilter & the APQS George machine in 2007. We want to be a full service quilt shop & are always looking for new ways to serve our customers.

Debbie is an award winning quilter - Elna's Machine Quilting award for a quilted jacket she wishes she could stil fit into, is the designer of quilt patterns marketed under the "Easy Piecers" banner and the author of "Beginning Quilting By Machine".  She has taught & lectured all over the tri-state area.  Debbie started quilting in 1977 and enjoys all machine techniques, with a special love of machine applique.

Jim is an authorized technician for Baby Lock, Bernina, Elna, HandiQuilter and Janome & enjoys tinkering in his service area.

Our Mission Statement: To provide a creative haven where people can come to learn, share ideas and be inspired.  To establish long term, successful relationships with our customers through the services & products we provide.
