APPLIQUE FRAN'S WAY!

NINE PATCH FUN Sally Davis' work has been featured in numerous magazines & in Kaffe Fasset's and Margaret Miller's books.  Sally loves working with color! 

Here is a great way to use those fabrics you’ve been hoarding…esp. those batiks!  Nine patch blocks alternate with half square triangles to create bands of light and dark across the quilt. We will begin with a wall hanging in class that can easily be expanded into a larger quilt. Come and enjoy the day playing with fabric!

KIDS CLUB
Ages 8 & up, must be comfortable with scissors

Join Lori for three club sessions $18 each or $45 for all three!  Make Boxer Shorts, two sizes of bags and a backpack!  Wednesdays from 10-1 (bring a snack).  Machines will be supplied.  July 22, July 29th and Aug 5th  Please call the shop to register.

 

 

QUILTWORKS CLUB! $25

Do you own Designer's Gallery QuiltWorks?  Want to learn how to use it?  Join this club!  We will meet June 19th at 10:30am to learn applique.  Bring your laptop or watch on the overhead screen.

This software is for any brand of embroidery machine & will allow you to make your own quilt designs, do redwork, applique & MORE with one simple program!  Club is free if QuiltWorks was purchased at QP.  $25 if purchased elsewhere.

August 12th at 11:30am - QuiltWorks Basics a Virtual Training online class. $20 tickets or class coupon required. 

 

 

BEGINNING QUILTING BY MACHINE

Learn to quilt! Debbie will teach you to use your sewing machine & rotary cutter to start quilting. You will make a baby or lap sized quilt while learning to piece two blocks, add borders, baste, machine quilt & bind. Machine class, beginners, fabrics & book must be purchased at Quilting Possibilities. 

MACHINE EMBROIDERY CLUB

 Open to all brands of embroidery machines - owners of machines other than Baby Lock, Bernina and Elna brands MUST be comfortable with their machines to join this club.  These will not be machine lessons, these will be technique lessons.

EXPLORATORY SERGERY!

Serger Club is back in a new form!  This is a bi monthly club to learn more about that serger you own! After reviewing basic stitching, we will explore the complexities of the rolled hem, flatlock, use of decorative threads and any other topic you wish to pursue. This will be a hands-on learning class so you must be comfortable threading your serger from scratch, setting up 3 and 4 thread overlock stitches as well as making tension adjustments. Purchase of Bernina Serger Technique Reference Book or a Baby Lock Serger Accessories Guide is required. All brands of sergers are welcome. The cost is $75 per year.   Friday, August 28th - beads & sequins with the serger.  Please call the shop for topics and to register.

How many times have you said to yourself, I need to use some of my stash?  These are the classes for you!  Each month we will present a scrap quilt to do exactly that.  Your pattern is included in your class fee & there's even a pie recipe for you.  Machine class, advanced beginners, bring a dish to share for a pot luck lunch!

CREATIVE CLUB - OPEN TO ALL BRANDS OF MACHINES

$75 for the year (10 months) or $10 per lecture/demo & includes CD each month of the project(s).  Creative Club will be monthly on Friday mornings at 11 am. This will be a virtual club with lectures & demos done by the Bernina education department.  This club is open to all brands.   Click here to register for the year or call the shop to sign up for individual months.

July 24 - Quilt Yourself Gorgeous! - You'll be glad we started in July when you see these gorgeous projects for Christmas! Gifts, quilts to give (or keep) and an easy, pieced jacket will make you drop whatever you're doing and start now!

August 28 - Contain Everything
Totes, handbags, pouches are a great way to quickly show and enjoy your creative side. Quilted, embellished, painted, embroidered are but a few of the techniques we will explore as we craft our one-of-a-kind totes. Fast and fun, you'll want to make several varieties.

September 25 - Decorative Notes
Cell phones are convenient, but, when's the last time you received or wrote your own note? Not a writer? - Well, let's sew our message into these charming postcards. Nothing new - and the post office is used to them by now -you'll love creating these mini works of art that have become collectibles around the world.

October 23 - Scraps
Bits and pieces. Leftovers. Scraps. Many project remnants are just too good to part with. Now is the time to use those scraps and turn them into book covers and other decorative treats. Using Bernina accessories and specialty techniques each will become a unique treasure - and all from scraps!

December 4 - Quick Gifts
The best laid plans.we all intend to start early, but somehow the gift-giving season arrives before we're ready. It's time to jump into action and create fast gifts that are fun to make, fun to give and in time for the Holidays!

MACHINE QUILTING 101

CLASS & CLUB RULES

When you sign up for a class, we need you to pay for that class in order to reserve your space. You may pay your class fee over the phone with a credit card, send in a check or come into the store. You will receive a supply list when you pay for your class. If you have required supplies at home, by all means, bring them. Otherwise, we would appreciate it if you would purchase the supplies from us. We offer a 10% discount on all listed class supplies.

For the comfort & enjoyment of everyone, please do not wear perfume or bring children or guests to class.

Classes will be cancelled by us one week prior to the first class if insufficient enrollment, please wait to buy your materials as there will be no refund for materials bought for a class that does not "go". "No go" class tuition can be put towards another class. Class fees will only be applied to another class or a gift certificate ONLY if you cancel your class more than 7 days before the start of class.

Class fees with national teachers are not refundable. We will try to fill your space & if we do, a store credit will be given.
